We had a half-day school visit on our third day. We observed a math class in Primary 4. Afterwards, we had lunch at Marche, a Swiss restaurant in a mall. I like the set-up because the place is separated into the different meal courses. One section is for the appetizer, one section is for the salads, one section is for the beverages, one section is for the soups, one section is for the franks and another for the meat. You are given a card upon entry and that card is swiped for every meal you get. It's tempting to keep on ordering but then you gotta refrain yourself from swiping the card too much because it'll reflect on your bill when you exit. The food is really expensive.
Went to China Town twice because the place is magical. Meaning, it had everything we need for pasalubong. Can't get the Filipino trait out of us, wherever we are. We had a trip to China town on our second night where we had dinner and dessert, and a look around the place. We returned on our third day in the afternoon to shop for shirts, nuts, and what-not's for friends and family. I love this Chinatown because of its architecture and the design. Oh if we were to return, we'd definitely stay at The Berry Good Hostel. It's homey, it's cute and the people are very friendly!
Tired from all the shopping, we killed our feet some more by going to Marina Bay. That place is spectacular. I think I could just spend a whole day staring at the Marina Bay Sands. Lion King was being staged there (no money for tickets. booo.), the floating Louis Vuitton store, a museum and of course the observation deck atop the Marina Bay Sands. We came in time for the lights and sounds show, which gave us time to rest our feet before walking around the mall to look for a place to eat. We ended the day around 11:30 PM. Talk about tired.
We had training the whole day of Friday, so I didn't have much pictures, except for a few from the training/class observation and the restaurant where we had dinner. CHICKEN RICE FOR THE HEAVENLY WIN.
Saturday (and also our last day. waaaah) was jampacked. As soon as we woke up, we had an early walk in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, took gazillion photos of orchids, then rushed to the Asian Civilization Museum to see the Terra Cotta. We were supposed to check out the museum the night before but because the Green Line (one of the train routes) broke down, our schedule was altered. It was a blessing because when we went to the museum on that Saturday morning, it was an open house. We got to see the whole place for freeeee!
I'm going to miss Singapore. It was a good experience -- a mix of pleasure and work. I'll come back, hopefully with more money so I can see the other sights. Chinatown, I'll come back for you. haha
